I Know How You Feel
My name is Lana Camiel, PharmD (pronounced LAH-nuh kuh-MEEL). I am a college professor, drug information pharmacist and herbalist. My passion is to teach students and professionals how to feel their best as they concentrate on learning and achieving their goals.
I went through a demanding college pharmacy program and a residency that left me exhausted at the end. During my training I learned how to treat patients with cancer, heart disease and diabetes, but didn’t know how to take care of myself.
I felt that something was missing, and started exploring other fields. This is when I discovered natural medicine, and herbs became my passion. It took me several years to migrate from exploring herbal books to finding the right teachers who helped me to become comfortable cooking with herbs and drinking teas. But, my life has never been the same.
Now, during the times of stress, I have allies (my family and friends, good food, herbs, rest and relaxation) and they help me to be more grounded.
I react better to every-day stressors. I continue learning about natural medicine and what it has to offer, and love to test out new ideas/recipes on my family and friends.
My Goal in Writing This Blog
My mission in writing this blog is to provide you with simple solutions (recipes and exercises) to help you take better care of yourself, and share some of the reasons why this information is important for your health and your well-being.
I know you don’t have a lot of time, but hope that simple teas and exercises will help you to start an important self-care journey.
