WIN025 – Healthy digestion with Dr. Orna Izakson

Digestion is the first area of our health that I always discuss with my students. Without healthy digestion none of us are able to thrive in this world.

If you’d like to learn how to benefit from simple strategies to enhance how you process your food, this episode is for you!

My today’s guest is Dr. Orna Izakson, ND. Orna is an Oregon-based writer, gardener, herbalist, and naturopathic doctor.

She came to naturopathy through an interest in her health, her passion for environment and science, and her love of plants. Orna is a graduate of National University for Natural Medicine.

As a naturopath she treats people, not conditions. Her tools of trade are people’s medicine otherwise known as plants along with food, homeopathy and hydrotherapy.

Orna’s job is to remind her patients that natural cures are in their hands, cupboards, bathtubs, and refrigerators. She is a teacher and cheerleader, helping her patients toward better health.

By the end of this episode you’ll realize that the solution to healthy digestion is simpler than you were taught.

Topics:

  1. Orna’s journey to become an herbalist and a naturopathic doctor
  2. Vitalist triad (assimilation, elimination, managing inflammation) and how it explains our state of health and well-being
